Overview

Against the backdrop of the global green transition and the deepening implementation of the "Dual Carbon" goals, waste electronics & electrical equipment (WEEE) and spent power batteries, as significant "urban mines," have seen their efficient recycling and high-value utilization become crucial pathways for promoting circular economic development, reducing resource dependency, and lowering industrial carbon emissions. Currently, driven by the combined forces of policy support, market demand, and resource circulation, this hundred-billion-yuan industry is ushering in a historic opportunity for scaled and standardized growth. As a leading global producer and consumer of electronics, electrical equipment, and new energy vehicles, China is actively building its circular economy industrial chain. The national "14th Five-Year Plan" for Circular Economy Development has identified relevant sectors as key action areas. Notably, the "Interim Measures for the Recycling and Comprehensive Utilization of Waste Power Batteries from New Energy Vehicles," officially effective from April 2026, further strengthens whole-chain traceability and standardized management, laying an institutional foundation for the industry's healthy development. In active response to national strategies and to serve industrial growth, guided by superior competent authorities, the "Tianjin International Recycling of Waste Electronics & Electric Equipment and Spent Power Batteries Exhibition 2026," jointly organized by the Tianjin IC Industry Association and Shanghai Golden Conference&Exhibition Group, will be grandly held from September 16 to 18, 2026, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Tianjin). This exhibition, based in Tianjin, will radiate nationwide and engage internationally. Focusing on the recycling of "urban mines," it will gather high-quality enterprises across the entire industrial chain, including collection networks, intelligent dismantling, precise sorting, recycled materials, cascade utilization, and environmental disposal.
